Created for a company located in New York, this custom order shows how classic 80s crew socks are still popular, fueled by music and TV nostalgic influences.
DESIGN
Our client was looking into making simple crew socks in solid colors, with just text. They wanted them in athletic style with text toward the top of the cuff.
MANUFACTURING
The selected style was thin with ribs along the leg. The material used was our signature ultra-wicking blend which prevents blisters. Based on their requirements, we made 3 models: yellow with black text, white with black text and black with white text. The words were knitted and placed near the top of the socks, wrapping around the leg so they would be big enough to be readable.
TURNAROUND
It took around 5 weeks, with 3 boxes being shipped from Long Beach, CA to New York City.
As you can see on the pictures below, the text really stood out, showcasing how effective a simple “less is more” design can be.
